Title: Southland Game Calls Talladega
Post by: War Eagle on May 25, 2025, 09:00:48 PM
Anyone use a call from Southland Game Calls from Talladega, AL? Pretty sure they're not around anymore but I have a one sider that someone gave me years ago that I love. Curious if anyone else uses one.

No this one is a one side box call. I know their Yellowheart crystal pot is a popular call but have never had one.

Gotcha...just read your post more clearly.  Yeah the Crystal pot is a great one and a gem if you find one for sure.  Don't have any experience with their boxes.

I have an elite series slate in a walnut pot that Jim signed. Best sounding slate I've ever owned. Wish I a couple more.

I used one this year to kill three, just purring, and or purring and clucking.  It's an old box one sider.  I also use one of their old scratch box calls.  It is just a box and a piece of slate.

I use their walnut slate. First custom call I ever bought and one of my favorites.
