Title: Cast and Blast
Post by: 2flyfish4 on May 20, 2025, 07:49:28 PM
Anybody enjoy fishing as much as turkey hunting. Do you have any good "Cast and Blast" trips you've done or recommend?

I haven't done any of these but I could see them being alot of fun.
-Western New York turkey hunt then smallmouth bass fishing on Lake Erie.
-Missouri or Arkansas turkey hunt then chasing smallmouth in rivers and creeks.
-Colorado Turkey hunt then chasing trout in the countless streams and rivers.

What other options are there? What have you done? Post some pics!

South Florida Osceolas and Lake Okeechobee bass or crappie.  The turkeys were great but seeing those largemouths hammer the shiners was a blast!

I have not done a cast and blast but one of the guides I have fished with said he did/does a steelhead/duck fly fishing trip.

I have a turkey/tarpon cast and blast goal. Opening weekend in S. Fla. is prime time in the Everglades for poons. I did a south georgia turkey/bass this year and have done several teal/redfish cast and blasts in the past. Great way to spend a day.

Best combo I ever did was in my own back yard.
Daybreak Tom in Maine, then brookies in the #$%^& river
Shot a nice tom in NH at 1120 and Land Locked salmon in Lake Winnipesaukee. Z :turkey2:
