Title: Gift for a turkey hunter
Post by: Burtwill on April 21, 2025, 07:06:15 AM
I have a friend i am looking to get a gift for. Something like a keepsake or something very useful. I am thinking a pretty custom high quality pot call or maybe engraved knife or something pretty nice.

Any ideas?

There are several good pot call makers that will put a picture in the pot.  There are also some box call makers that will put a sentiment on the back of the box.  Every man loves a knife.  I think any of those ideas would be good.  Is there a rough price range?

I love me some turkey calls, but a knife will probably get more use. If its just a keepsake, any of the above are awesome IMHO. Z

Price range is sorta whatever. Maybe up to 500. I may do both a call and a knife but not sure of any custom knife makers that could make it more personal.

I would get him a Chris Reeve Inyoni bird knife. It's lightweight and made with the best super steel known to man kind. He can take the micarta scales off it to make it ultra lightweight too if he wants. Also, any jeweler could probably engrave it for you if you wanted.
