I'm in the habit of checking my POA-POI on my reflex sights every year. Last year it was pretty much shoot each gun once with no adjustments needed. How many of you check the zero on your reflex sights every year and is it really necessary?

Will fire off a few rounds just to take 1 more thing off the list of things that could go wrong when the Tom of a lifetime struts into range. Peace of mind, never have had any issues with green dot.
I check every year and feel it is nessary.
I check every year, so far never had any issue.
I haven't done mine in several years, but I told my hunting buddies, I plan on firing a couple of dove loads to check it this year. Probably won't need it but it will give me a warm and fuzzy.
I shoot them before I hunt with them with the tss shells I plan on using. I have done this since I started using a red dot. I have had to adjust one once after air travel. They are almost always zeroed, but I still check.
I check em, same as deer rifle scope. Nothing worse than missing an animal because scope or sight was off.
I have always felt the same. My deer rifles get zeroed in every year before I hunt with them. Just curious to see how well they held true. I found out yesterday. I tested zero on 3 guns. Two held true but one was WAY off. Couldn't have killed a turkey with it. No clue how it got that way.

I check mine every year a week or two before season starts. I wouldn't want to miss a gobbler or even worse, wounding one and not recovering it.
I did not this year, because I just set it up last year. One nice thing is I can use a Lead 7.5 in the mod barrel and check the POI without wasting an expensive shell. But it is an O/U. It worked very well at about 30 yards this season.
I shoot a comparable bird load to TSS at 20 feet. I know where that load hits compared to the turkey loads.
I check every year- same with deer rifle. Gives me the confidence that all is well
Check them every season, isn't worth missing a bird due to optic failure.
I check mine every year and often times have to make adjustments. I have also noticed variation in POI between different LOTs of the same load. So, I also re-check anytime I switch LOTs.

I always check every year except ONE YEAR 7 years ago I didn't because I was only getting 1-2 days off a month at that time. My life long friend and hunting partner had already tagged out and found me a roost with not one but four big ole mature Toms in it. Back then my eyes still allowed me to use iron sights and I had installed a set of TruGlow magnum gobble dot AM adjustable sights on my gun a 24" barreled 12ga 3.5" 870 Express SM.
I had planned a vacation for turkey season and my friend had us set up in great position on the roost long before fist light. First we called in one Tom and I missed clean at 30 yards. Then a second Tom again clean miss. I had not missed a called in Tom in over 25 years so I knew something was up.
Shot at a pattern target I always keep in my capped bed of my truck and sure as shootin my sights were WAY off. Made the needed adjustemts and killed a Tom the next day.
Now all my dedicated turkey guns have scopes on them so I will not hunt unless I check them for zero.
Last year hunting out of state with two friends our one friend had a similar experience in he missed back to back Toms on opening day morning he also scopes his turkey gun and sure enough his scope (a rather inexpensive scope I seriously doubt was designed or intended to withstand 12ga 3" magnum turkey shell recoil) wouldn't hold zero at all. Thankfully I always bring a backup shotgun and loaned him it and he tagged out two days later.
I will never not check the zero of any firearm I intend on hunting with. Just foolish not to.
