Exciting day with deer Ol' Dad. This super Jake only gobbled only once and came sneaking in.

With the season slowly approaching the 4th quarter, and limited time to hunt, I decided to lay down a South Jersey pine barren Jake. Saw him standing off like a statue on a clear cut, and once he walked off, I cut the distance, and hit him with a couple bubble clucks and yelps. He gobbled once within 150 yards. After 15 minutes, he came in silent and I took a shot at 30 yards. Ended up pushing 17 pounds so we'll get a couple meals out of him. Good luck everyone, still a couple weeks to chase these birds around the woods.
Measure him up and he'll be our 9 th scoring bird. Points are points! Congrats.

Yes it's true MB..
Im trying to get him to post more frequently. He's a motivating factor here for me. But runs me ragged. lol! He's been pretty lucky, however the year of the Jake's are getting the better of us. We had one opportunity at a long beard and it went wrong. We've called up 20 Jake's in 7 different areas. We are usually in the game and having decent action everyday this season.
Fingers crossed for upgrades for all.
