Title: Anyone Scouting?
Post by: suburbhunter on March 23, 2025, 07:05:59 PM
I went out this morning and heard two different birds, in usual spots. Actually knocked one of his roost as he was close to the road I walk in on. I put up a camera and got a photo of a lone tom this evening. Been putting in a little windshield time as well on rainy mornings. Always on the the look out for finding a new spot.  :you_rock:

I usually have a few look and see trips by now... but not yet. Maybe tomorrow. We are a month out now, it's time to check out a few of my areas. Also looking at a new area. I always do my best to have an alternate plan in place. Will keep this post updated.

Not yet. Where I live the turkeys are just now starting to break up from their winter flocks. Seems they're running late this year. 20 days until our season starts, so I'll be slipping into the woods soon to find them.

I went for a rainy day drive today. I hit a few areas I've visited the last few seasons... It doesn't look bad. I'll get a little hike in soon. :turkey:

I stomped around some new ground today. It looks promising. Hopefully they don't start getting harassed before we get going. Fingers crossed.
