I got this wood from a friend in Mississippi he sent it to me to try out on a call.
This call is headed back to the gent that sent me the peaces.
It was a fence post he didn't know how long but its way old.
It has 40 or more growth rings..Turned like butter but hard as a rock..

Yeah but old growth heart pine, weathered for all those years, I would think it would be pretty hard?

You are rite it is pine from a fence post that a friend in Mississippi sent to me..Pine Fat Lighter.
He told me that the fence row had been there for a very long time, his dad remembers it when he was also a kid..
