Title: Pot calls in the rain
Post by: Penguin907 on March 10, 2025, 11:14:15 AM
Any tips for using pot calls in the rain? I've got a glass call with a wood and carbon striker.

Enticer calls run great in the rain. His soundfiles don't do justice. Had to edit this. He's got a video of running his call under a water faucet. First thing I did when I got it was go to the faucet. It ran

Mike Yingling one here makes a waterproof.  I have one and it is indeed waterproof.  It actually runs better wet to my ear.

Any recommendations on type of striker?

Carbon but if you buy an enticer it'll come with one. Yingling makes one I like as well but it's on same pot. I'll be honest, I kinda have no use for it now. I'm able to blow mouth calls again. Makes almost everything else unnecessary.

Enticer are the best wet weather calls you can get, or dry weather for that matter. They're in expensive compared to most and have no dead zone, play wet, and are pure turkey

Enticer has 5 different "wet calls".  Which do you recommend?

I have 3 of the 5. They're all great. The slate plays wet, the original wet wonder is good, but my favorite is the next generation

I bought one a few years ago and never hunted it, sort of forgot about it. But I dug it out today and played it for a while and was really impressed with it. I don't know what he calls it but I'll post a picture:

That's the best one I've found for hunting in the rain.
