Title: My newest book, "A Life Well Misspent"
Post by: Jim Spencer on December 30, 2024, 02:32:05 PM
I just posted an excerpt from my newest book in the Long Stories sub-board, along with a notice that I'm offering a BOGO sale and deep discount on my other books for anyone who buys a copy of the new one. Go read it if you have time, and if you're interested pm me for details. Thanks, y'all. It's a pretty good book, no foolin. (Hey, I'm a turkey hunter. Would I lie????)

I've had mine for a little bit and it's truly a good book from a legend. Fantastic book, same as any of Jim's books, I've read it two times already

Great stuff, Jim! Love the title.  I believe many of us would say it suits us well.   Enjoyed the excerpt.  As one who is also a bit long in the tooth in participating in this game, much of what you relate are things I have either thought, spoken, or written down myself over the decades.

...And as my personal screen name here suggests, turkey hunting for me has always been about the gobble.  The subspecies doing it makes no difference to me.  Each I cherish regardless of which each of us might hold in highest regard.  As is noted in the famous lyrics Stephen Stills once wrote and sang---"love the one you're with".

As for drumming, it is also high on the list, as well.  Just not quite as high...  :)  :D  :icon_thumright:
