The weatherby sorix is a fairly new shotgun out made mostly for the waterfowl guys. I was told by weatherby pr team that they have something in the works for a turkey model as well. They asked for my ideas and would like to get feedback from you guys as well. What features would you want in this gun? Things you like and dislike?
The SA-459 is still my main "go to" turkey gun...and I have many. Wish list - focus more on sub gauge models. 28Ga would be nice. They don't need a 3.5in 12GA cannon. Focus on mossy oak turkey patterns that the majority of turkey hunters actually want... Bottomland, Greenleaf...
24in max barrel, oversize bolt..
Shorter barrel, pistol grip stock, 20 gauge, optics ready, oversized bolt. These would be the main things I'd look for in a turkey gun. Lightweight is also a big consideration for me personally.

Agree with everything. Camo pattern doesn't matter to me, all black(including the breech bolt) would work for me. Also keep the the price in the $600-$800 range.
Matte black is good.
Yep.
