Made a post a while back called Bits of Jealousy. I sent my buddy Ricky Padgett a blank of Brazilian Rosewood and ivory. The original blank was large enough to cut in half so I sent the other side to Mr. Permar for a hex call. Well today he sent me a picture of the finished product and man is she beautiful! Cannot wait to get her in my hands!

That is beautiful, love the look of that old Brazilian Rosewood
Very pretty. I would like to get one of those hex calls myself based on looks, but I have wondered if the shape makes them have a different sound than a round one, what do you think or does it matter? I think I make them all sound ill at this time anyway. :)

Such a great pair of calls. That Rosewood made some beautiful calls.
That is a fine looking call!

Not a concern with sound.
If I was only allowed one more call the rest of my life, Ralph's Hex would be it!!!
Beautiful call!
Beautiful, he also contacted me and said my hex trumpet was done today ...
Nice caller! Are they tuned similar to that of his model 45?
Yes sir Will
He makes a great call and that that rosewood makes it even more special.

Oh I never meant does it give it a negative sound, clearly it is a proven product, just wondered if it was different or does it make it easier to place with the shape? Thanks again.

Do not think it effects it one way or another if internals and all is good.

I am in Maine so it will be next week before I can get the check out unfortunately.
Congrats on a mighty fine hex horn! That Brazilian rosewood has fine tonal qualities!
Man, that's nice!

Wow! Congratulations Donald.
Would not call this a white whale, but I would say it is a long time coming. I think Mr. Permar's Hex call is one of the most cosmetically beautiful calls made. It is a call I have drooled over for some time. Let me say, I wish I could capture its beauty in a photo but this is the best I have. It plays wonderfully to boot. Cannot wait to hopefully be taking a photo of it beside some beautiful bronze feathers this come spring!
