How do you haul your pushpin in your vest? I know there are a few holsters made, but trying to eliminate additional items. Not sure I have an available pocket or pouch that will house my pishpin.

I have a vest that has an inside pocket. That could double as a box call pocket.
So I put my Jonathan Payne push pin in there.

I have been thinking about transport as well. I have a couple push pins on the way. Going to make something for them. One idea I have is an ammo case dremmeled out to fit it. Another would be to make something out of the pvc that I can keep in the bag pack part of my vest if needed without worrying of breaking it.

Love to hear some ideas.

I know they are all different sizes but can someone give the actual dimensions of a push pin they have?

Last year I put mine in a crown royal bag and kept it in the kangaroo pouch on my jacket. Zip lock bag will keep it dry

What push pins are you getting?

Shannon's push pins are probably the longest ones on the market. His longer pins give his calls the versatility and sounds others do not. When I don't use a vest (late season), I use a Yoder 2 Push-pin holder. Yoder designed these to fit Old Gobblers PP's. When I use my Sitka Vest, or others, I put one PP in the box call pocket. The Sitka has the longest, best padded Box call pocket I've seen, the Old Gobbler PP fits perfectly in this pocket. I carry a second one in this Custom sock I made from a gun sock. I cut it to fit the pushpin, had the edge sewn, and added the Old Gobbler patch. I put this in the chest pocket of my North Mountain pullover. Works perfectly......be safe
Yoders leather push pin cases are awesome and Shannon's push pins fit perfectly but they are big. They have to be in order to accommodate the push pin as Tom007 mentioned.
It would take a hard lick for a call to get messed up while in Yoder's holster unless you just sat on it.

Amen my friend. That gun sock does provide very good protection in a chest pocket, or large vest pocket. Believe it or not, the Old Gobbler patch also acts as protection, it is rigid and prevents pressure on the pins....
I will have to make a gun sock holder
Yoders holster can easily be converted to a bino harness and wear it on your chest if you don't like it over your shoulder. Just another option......
Did not think about that.

I have one of Yoder's and it is great when I'm taking the push pin and a trumpet only without a vest.
There are times where I want it in a vest or tool belt style and I took one of Glenda Greene's pot call cases and made a hole in the bottom for the peg to stick through and it protects the main box well for that use.
Edited... spell check put three instead of the. Only have one, but those new ones make me want another one!

Nice job!
I carry mine in my shirt chest pocket. No noise if I put the pulling pin side down.
Mine is an OG and the longer pin has me looking for options

For that sized call look at the Chumms Vault glasses case, they are inexpensive and fit most smaller push pins. https://www.amazon.com/Chums-Vault-Case-Realtree-Xtra/dp/B01M0PKHOZ/ref=asc_df_B01M0PKHOZ/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=216518324822&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2106927729595215452&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008432&hvtargid=pla-349465611799&mcid=b3c7f9da197b3449b95e2faf8be772b4&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-r-vBhC-ARIsAGgUO2D1YPhS-psuWvtF4YWyDhl3hP2FGRsUgRNCANhjn0xpcelxHa02JPkaAg9YEALw_wcB&th=1&psc=1
I just ordered that chums vault case, looks like a great idea as long as mine will fit. I have an ozark ridge call like that one in the picture. I have been using it for several years now and really like it a lot. I always think I am going to crush it but they must be tougher than they look. Anyhow, thanks for the chums vault link !

I have done this and it works for most push pins but some don't fit real well. They even have camo ones.
I'll wrap mine in bubble wrap and place in my vest pocket!!
I use a Glenda Green's box call holder to transport my Push Pins.
Yoder's holsters are made specifically for the OG pushpins. They will haul whatever you need it to. But I am a " right tool for the job" kinda guy and Yoders holster saved my call from a cataclysmic accident so I am a little biased. In the holster it rolled off the hard cover on the back of my truck going @25 MPH and rolled to the shoulder. Not a scratch on the call and the holster was barely scuffed. If it wasnt fitted for that call and had some play in it, who knows what the outcome would be. I am sticking to my Yoder Holster for life. :z-twocents: Z
