Got a gentleman that I go to church with and we got into a conversation about guns; asked him did he have any of his guns for sale, he replied that he had a remington 870 that he doesn't shoot anymore and would let it go for 300.00; that kind of price, didn't expect that much but was I ever suprised; remington 870 wingmaster, 30 inch rib barrel full choke, (fixed choke) 3 inch magnum high grade finish; come to find out that the gun was bought through the custom shop from the remington factory; been shot 12 times and was bought new in 1988;
When I ask if I heard the price was right for 300.00, he said yes.....300.00; bought (stole) it and didn't hesitate in giving the 300.00; you would not believe the wood on this gun, just stunning;
Don't know how to post a picture plus don't have a camera, so all of you will just have to take my word for it; the best deal I had in a long, long time;
:toothy12:
Now go buy a camera with the extra money u saved and get a pic and post it. :D
Sounds like a nice gun. :icon_thumright:
Thats awesome. I learned to shoot with an old wingmaster.....so much finer than an express.
What a deal!
Some of the older Rem 870 3 in. had some great wood. It looked like TB Or TC grade trap gun wood.

I have an 870 Wingmaster in 20 ga. It doesnt have a vent rib though Beautiful little gun Bought it new around 1975 or so.
that was a great deal
Thief :angel9: great buy! :icon_thumright:
Sounds like you got a great deal! I have a similar vintage 870 LH Wingmaster with a 26" barrel and the REM choke system.
I killed my first Turkey with that gun but learned its limitations since it only has a 2.75" chamber. The wood and bluing are quite nice however :smiley-char092:
Bought one in 83 and about wore it out. Would love to find another in good shape,
