Title: 3.5 mag blend users
Post by: n2deer on February 14, 2011, 01:55:18 PM
What kind of number are you getting with your set up and the 3.5 inch mag blends at forty?

I shot a couple of guns today and wanted to compare.

I got 206 with the SBE and a pure gold .670

and top barrel on the citori got 230 with a pure gold .665

and bottom barrel got 223.

Just wondering if I should expect more. I realize more could be had with effort but wanted to see if it was comparable to others.

Everything was at a lasered forty from the gun in a ten inch circle.

Thanks for the comments
Brandon

I did have one nitro left over and got 281 with it in the top barrel of the citori.

I saw someone comment on here about the percentages of different shot in the mag blends. Does anyone know what it was?

that was me here is the info

the 3" shells are

5/8oz 5's
5/8oz 6's
3/4oz 7's      right around 400 pellets total

the 3.5" shells are

3/4oz 5's
3/4oz 6's
3/4oz 7's     right around 450 pellets total

these numbers have been verified by Enrivon and by cut open shells

Those are some great patterns, IMO. That is about average for what I've seen posted on here by others who shoot them.

Thanks for the additions, it seems we have a good to go pattern, dont really feel the need to do much more.

Thanks for the info, Bigpeck
