Just finished up my first box in the last ten years at least. I've started many but get to a point then put them aside where they're forgotten. I decided this one needed to be finished. It started out as an all walnut box but really didn't care for the sound I was getting so I switched to a spalted maple lid and she started coming to life. Finished product is spalted maple and walnut Turpin with chalk box. Really happy with the way it turned out and weather permitting I'll be hunting it this coming week. Thanx for the look. No worries on my end as I won't be doing box call orders. That went away years ago. Building a box or other calls now and then helps keep things fun for me. I'll keep it that way.

Thanx for the kind words. I would like to say that I got a fall bird while using the call, but with only two days hunted during a two-week season I didn't even bump into any birds.
