Any secrets in learning to purr on a trumpet besides lot's of practice? ... Joe Slaton is the only Youtube video I can fine of anyone purring on a trumpet.. He does it out of the corner of his mouth with his trumpet.

It's easiest to learn to do a loud fighting purr first where you're drawing air a little more forcefully. Once you get that it's just a matter of toning it down with less and less air. That's what worked for me.
