Title: Permar Roanoke Trumpet vs. Gobbler trumpet
Post by: troutfisher13111 on September 11, 2023, 07:07:03 AM
For those who have owned both by Ralph Permar, how do they compare? I already have a Gobbler trumpet and am wondering if it's worth the search to find a Roanoke.

Thanks

I don't own either, but I think it would certainly be worth the search for anything from Ralph.

I'd get an Everitt style Roanoke rather than a Roanoke style trumpet, and in that case I'd definitely have that and a gobbler trumpet.

I rely heavily on my gobbler trumpet for fall hunting, it's a proven killer.

I've never played his Roanoke but it's on my list.
