Title: South Dakota
Post by: WW on December 08, 2022, 03:42:33 PM
I'm a little late on planning but I'm going to take my teenage daughter to SD on a turkey hunt in late April.  The outfitters I've spoken to are fully booked. If anyone knows a rancher/private land owner that will let us hunt for a fee, please pm me. I don't want to take her to public land on her first time there.
Thanks

I doubt you'll find any takers in SD, but Wyoming has a program for fee hunting with private landowners. What part you planning to hunt, if your in the Black Hills there's so much public you won't have any problem getting off to yourselves, but you will work to find birds. They are way down from what I saw last spring. My daughter lives there and I have friends in the Black Hills and they all say the birds have fallen off.
