I am finishing up this Ringed Gidgee trumpet today, don't turn many of my original designs, but the shape still sits well with me and brings me back to where I started.

Sharp Gregg, I like your original design

I still dig it! Your originals are one of the very few more figural shaped yelpers that I love. Most wind up looking like table legs, IMO. Yours, on the other hand, are simple and clean and just the right amount of shape. That gidgee in particular looks incredible!

Great looking horn Greg, sure it sounds great! Still like your original design the best, Chester nailed it, " just the right amount of shape". Good luck to tap.emtp, you got a good one.
Nice one, very pretty figured piece of wood that made a beautiful trumpet.
Your org. design has a really nice tapered flow to it, it is a winner for a non traditional design
I still lean towards the traditional trumpet shape, but wouldn't kick this one out of the turkey blind.
(and I mean branches or bushes stuck in the ground, not a tent blind)
Beautiful caller
Beautiful call Greg!

Thanks, it took me a while to come up with that original shape, but for sure most folks prefer a traditional style.....I love the traditional/classic style too, and really it was guys on this forum that opened my mind to it. I think I need to start making "blinds", these darn turkeys are spotting me way too easy these days....lol
Another beauty from Gregg
Unique, and very cool!
Got the call today. Plays as good as it looks! Thanks Gregg.
