I just wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation to ChesterCopperpot for him taking the time to help me by answering a few questions about a couple of trumpet calls that I am considering adding to the vest. He was even willing to send me a sound file of one that I really had in mind. He was very helpful and I just wanted to give credit where credit is due. Thanks Chester!

Exactly why I joined this awesome site, spent a few years sandbagging, saw the great community that will go out of their way to help others. Great people on here.

Am looking to contact Mr. Chester and maybe get one of his yelpers. Have heard from those on here that he builds a good one and is right up there with the best players around. Some have went as far as telling me he is as good as Mark or PG. Seems to have a wealth of knowledge about their history as well.

I've never had any direct dealings with him but he seems like a straight up good ole boy.  Except for being a murderer and all, turkey murderer that is.

I heard he's hung like a mosquito in a snowstorm! But in all seriousness, I appreciate it. I like talking about turkeys with anyone and everyone. Matter of fact that's about the only thing I really love talking about (and especially callmaking history).

But as for making calls, I'm not good for much. I can make a pretty good sounding wingbone and a decent Jordan but nothing like the folks who are real good. I do like making them and giving them away. Been trying to make some super cool turtle calls lately and they're turning out mean! But that to say, I'm no callmaker by any stretch of the imagination. And as far as running a yelper, I'm half-assed at best. I try a lot. I play with them everyday. Every single day. Maybe I'm even on my way to being full-assed, but not yet. Not yet.

Anybody who takes a turkey call to The Eiffel Tower is most highassed.  One of the best.
