Title: Trulock LBXR Choke
Post by: kingofspringmi on April 06, 2022, 03:06:27 PM
I've thoroughly looked through old threads and couldn't find any results. Does anyone use Trulock's Long Beard XR chokes? If so, how are your patterns coming out? I purchased a Trulock LBXR .660 for my Stoeger M3000 and I'll be shooting LBXR 3" 1 3/4 oz. #5's.

After reading some of the negative stories about LBXR shells and not seeing much posts about Trulock's, I'm a little nervous for how my results are gonna turn out.

I'm not much into the science of patterning and counting how many are in the 10" circle. I just want to make sure that my shots will successfully kill a bird without much trouble.

Any and all advice/input is welcomed

Well old buddy, you are going to have to go pattern your set up no matter what you think. Anything but is absolutely ridiculous... :camohat:

Nobody wants to go through all the trouble of shooting different loads , and counting pellet holes, but that's the price we pay to learn about different chokes and shells.  But I have found that Long beards shoot well through many different chokes!

Thanks for the input! Going out to the range tomorrow to pattern.

Maybe if it comes out good I'll post a pic with results.
