........had to condition? yep, a lifetime of calling, no reconditioning ever....what would you think? would you buy one for 100.00 ?
naw sorry pap. assuming that it sounded like a turkey I still wouldn't for $100. The fact that it needs no conditioning is not worth the extra money to me. Now if it was the best sounding turkey call ever, AND it needed no conditioning... well then I would consider it.
I would pay 100 based on great sound and looks, but not based on conditioning not needed.

I'm actually obsessive about conditioning. Probably have five different grits of sandpaper, a couple different crocus cloths, a couple of stones, and at least two different scotch brite pads in my vest. One of my brothers won't hunt with me b/c I'm apt to condition with a turkey close....just more to visit with my therapist about.
Pappy, I have several now that are supposed to be always ready and I have to condition them to get satisfactory results. I am curious to know your secret.

Sooo, does that mean "The Squealing Hen Long Box" would be worth $125? :you_rock:
Nope.
Even surfaces that require little conditioning still needs to be cleaned of debris and oils. If I am going to clean the surface I want to condition to bring it back 100%.
I am learning over and over there are no shortcuts. :TooFunny:

At least....it may even be priceless...
hahahahaha...come on guys, you got give an old man AAA++ for trying... :wav: was thinking on a product that would deliver great sound looks and ease of maintenance, but the material is very pricy, thatis why I asked about the pricing, to recover some of my interests...pappy :z-guntootsmiley:
i only care about the sound of the call not whether it needs conditioning - i will pay that much if it makes my ear smile :z-guntootsmiley:
When do we get to see it or listen to a sound file?
Pappy, just my priority list, 1. Quality sound. 2. Conditioning needs. 3. Looks. I'm sure other's mileage will vary.
Pappy,
As you well know, I love pretty, functional calls, but my ultimate goal is a call which "talks turkey". With that said, and conditioning as a minor consideration, if it's something "new" and your on board, so am I.
