What is the usual price of TSS shot per pound?
According to who you get it from. It's went up but from 45 to 56 unless your getting from china yourself.

Currently regardless if OTC or MO by me they are over $11 a shell now everywhere I checked that had them in stock.
I just scored 100 12ga 3.5" 2oz #5 Winchester Long Beard XR shells at of all places Gunbroker for $220 TMD. An auction on 10 boxes of 10 I had been watching was ending and to my shock no one had bid on them so I placed the minimum bid with 16 minuet's' to go and won, so I will not likely be converting to TSS any time soon.
This thread is about buying shot by the pound. I'm looking at buying a bulk quantity to last many years. Probably over the summer unless I see an opportunity to capitalize on before.

$27.27 a pound plus shipping ... If your loading let's say a 2 ounce load you will get it to $3.40 for the shot per shell ...
That is per kilo or 2.2 pounds .. I hear they are reliable but that's up to you ...there are scores of resellers of it (china dirrect), do your own research.. I'll let you come to your own conclusions about the markup , I know I did privately years ago , along with the BS I had to endure with the people selling the shot
Now ..let me disclose something , I own several reloaders I've reloaded my whole life ...with that said , for legal reasons I can't allow the people who resell the components or distribute the formulas to have accounts here ...this is for liability..aka the roof over my head ..it was not because of the people selling it but because the inexperienced individuals substituting components and hot rodding the formulas...it was widespread, and a miracle nobody was injured ..Factoid.. .I've even had the original guys who make or resell DIRECTLY from China ask to advertise here and cut all the resellers in this country right out of the picture (I turned them down ) several times !! but again ...I have to do what all of you guys do support and protect your family.. but nothing stopping you from buying directly from them

Alibaba thru PayPal with a good credit card seems safe enough if you know how to make sure the shot you get is what you ordered.
However if you're just starting out, I would go through Hal period. There's certainly added value with the variety of load data and easy, reliable transaction.
