So I already have a super nova with pistol grip that I have been using. Honestly though it's loud and heavy.
So I've decided I want to go semi auto 20 gauge.
I am set on the franchi affinity 3 compact. Am I making a good choice here with my 1000k budget?
It's black so I am going to have it dipped in camo and put a Burris 3 on it

I have one and like it a lot. Light weight, efficient and already drilled and tapped. With a .562 Indian Creek or Sumtoy (both shoot basically the same pellet count in my gun) and some 8.5 or 9 TSS, you are all set....

Excellent choice here. I got the affinity 3 and got it dipped in Original bottomland. Carolina Custom Camo in Lugoff, SC did the hydrodipping and they did an excellent job. Quick turnaround and they do not leave a big seam under the barrel like most I've seen. Be sure to order a Sumtoy base to mount the fastfire 3 and I went with a .570 from Sumtoy. Gives you a little better spread between the 10" and 20". I patterned both the Rogue #9 and the Foxtrot Crusher #9 and while both shot great, I gave the nod to Foxtrot.

I read to go with a marlin 336 base to mount the fast fire to it?
I also read they do not come drilled and tapped is this true? Or only on older models ?

The 336 base is an option, but I highly recommend the Sumtoy mount over the 336. That mount is well built, contours to your receiver, and is also low profile. You'd also be supporting a small business and receive excellent customer service. The receiver does come drilled and tapped on the affinity 3.

That is a good gun.  :z-winnersmiley:     Now we have the base for it and also have the FF3 back in stock.   I would run 562 for hot pattern or 570 for hunter friendly pattern .   :anim_25:

Compact model comes drill and taped as well?

I just looked at the compact at Cabela's, nice gun.

Not to small for an adult to use right? I hear it's nice you can get in tight to it with shorter stock
