Yeah...I scored several boxes of their "extended range" shells for $13/box after the season once. :) They had the 3-1 7/8-6 red shells for $4/box, too.
i got four boxes total
3.5" in 5 and 6 shot
Sigh... my Walmart only carries Win XX, 3", #4 shot.

same here.
Bad thing is I shoot 3.5 2oz #4s. My walmart only carries #5s.......
I stocked up on the 3" 1.75 Ounce #5 Win Sup HV 1300fps 12 Gauge Lead last year.
This year I'll stock up on the 3" 1.25 Ounce #5 Win Sup HV 20 Gauge Lead.
If HTL prices get too much higher, I won't buy anymore. I'll just limit my range and use the Win HV Lead.
last year my local wally world had a good many of the Winchester 20ga HV supreme 3" #5 loads left over and marked them down to 3.00 a box
needless to say I picked up a few ;D

you got that right
The Wal Marts in my area do not carry #6 shot for some odd reason.
My walmart only sells Remington nitro turkey in #5. My gun/choke seems to like it. That's all the turkey rounds they got though

My local Wal-Mart does, but only in the 3.5" shells.
BTW, I don't have a 3.5" chamber. :begging:
4's and 5's only in 3" 12 Gauge.
I am a new member to this site just my 2 cents. 3 years ago my brother bought every box of Winchester Extended Range 3" #6 shot for $4 a box after season markdown at one of our Wal-Marts, only 11 boxes. He gave me a couple of boxes and last season I used them to shoot 2 of the biggest gobblers I have ever harvested. Decided to use my Mossberg 500 last year instead of my Super The first was at 22 yards and the other 15 yards.X2 3.5 inch gun go figure. This year I am using my 835 and some $11.97 3.5" Winchester Supreme HV #5 or #6. Any body else out there shoot an 835 with these shells? What choke and what kind of numbers at 40 yards? Great site good luck to every one this season.

My 835 with the StarDot .676" choke will go 140-150 in the 10" circle at 40yds with the 3.5" HV #6's, 5's weren't great, 115 I think.
I have been getting 135-140 with my 835 Carlson .675 with Win Sup HV 3.5 #6s and a few less with #5s. I am more than satisfied as I have no doubts as either load will get the job done out to 50 yards if need be. Thanks TF for the input

The win grey box 6's are getting hard to find in wal mart in my area...MS, AR, TN, etc.
Heck my wal-mart dose not carry any shells above 2 3/4 inch I was in there yelling about it to the manager he was like I dont know if we will get any in went and ordered some Kent 3 1/2 off Cabelas.
