This same 3" 870 with 28" Barrel, and IC .665 Choke got:
190 with 3" 2 Ounce Magnum Blend
155 with 3" 1.75 Ounce #6 Hevi13
90-116 with 3" Winchester Supreme HV 1.75 Ounce #5 Lead
Last year, the same box & lot number of Hevi13 #7 got:
280 with a Star Dot Choke
255 with a SSX Choke
Excellent patterns!!! :icon_thumright:
QuoteWhat was the temp when you shot it?
85-87 Degrees
Killer pattern!
Now why can't every shell shoot like that? It's weird how that works. I have seen shells from the exact same box and lot shoot way different. I seen it the last time I shot my 835 with the Star Dot choke.
They don't get much better than that!
Great pattern!
I also got a good 3" Magnum Blend pattern through the IC .665 last week. See Below.

Great pattern. :you_rock:
Thanks. I'm happy enough with 294, but I'm thinking that breaking 300 is quite a milestone for anyone with a 3" shell, unless you shoot several patterns with H13 3-2-7 shells, and then count the very best pattern out of several shots on a warm day.
Nice!
gota love those longer barrels
