Mine is a Wingbone made with hen bones. To me it has a better tone than one made with gobbler bones.
Big fan of the box call. :z-guntootsmiley:
Me too Dan. I was looking for an all of the above option. Thats what I would have picked.
TRKYHTR
My favorite is a slate, just because I'm better with that than anything else. I like using mouthcalls, but I'm not a very good caller.

Everybody says you are improving quickly
I voted mouthcall.. I dont think anything is as versatile or allows inflection as well as a mouthcall in the right hands..
I had to go with other. My go to call is a trumpet.

peg & pot also i like the mouth calls and box heck i like them all
This was my first poll, sorry guys.... I kinda left out a couple choices. I mean I forgot the Sqealing Hen slot............ ;)
I like mouths calls most but my slate is a close second
I voted mouth call because of a few reasons:
#1- Im better with this call than any of the others.
#2- no movement when working birds in tight.
#3- moisture doesnt have an effect on them so I dont have to worry about April showers or morning dew playing havoc on my ability to call a bird.
#4- they are easier to carry than all the others.

I voted box call because i most of the time got a dip in so i use a box call alot instead of mouth call. box and mouth call are favorite though.
I voted slate call because thats what im best with. Second is mouth call which is what i usually switch to if the bird is close.
mouth call. i can do anything on it and no hand movement :z-guntootsmiley:
I voted Pot call, but the tube call is gaining ground with me.
I like a mouth call 1st, but a good pot is hard to beat. I love them both. I voted mouth call just beacuse there is no hand movement needed to run one.
Pot call. Just love the way they sound.
my vote went to a mouth call. pot call would run 2nd. favorite
Mouth call..I'd say 90% of the turkeys I kill are called in by a mouth call alone.

I like the mouth call the most favorite. My pot caller would be second. trumpet and wingbone third, and the box caller being last. I have alot of mouth calls. My favorite would be a Hook's caller called "The Finisher" It is smaller than most mouth caller which is great for my small mouth. It does all the sounds of a turkey. Being hands free is a plus for me. I just like them the most.
I went with mouth. Less movement, easier to carry and can add enthusiasm to the calls.

My thoughts as well
i have a wingbone call made and can't make any sounds hardly(that sounds like a turkey anyways),,,,i hace mouth calls ,but when i need to squeek,,i squalk and when i need to make light sounds they come out like thunder,,i have sone scratch boxes and tey kinda work but on windy days they are not loud enough ,i have bunches of slate, glass, aluminum, and copper pots and diffrent strikers ,,but when it comes down to takin' the tom's the box call does all i need done to bring him in..i do sometimes use a slate pot call with two strikers to sound kike a fight to get the toms and hens to head my way,,but my best call once i get a gobbler to fire up on me callin' is SILENCE ''

I agree, seems to always be my best in any situation
Mouthcall. I run mine with a dip in. It makes em sound better.
Pot call with a glass surface is what I run the best. I have more confidence in this call than any other.
killed a big tom with pappys osage n copper..great sounding call...also have lights out yellowheart and aluminum...and walnut slate..both rock :you_rock:
Slate call for me....
Kentucky Klucker zebrawood pot w/ aluminum surface. Does it all.
I voted other.
I like a good tube the best followed by a close toss-up between a pot and a box call.
Heck, I like 'em all.
Homemade snuff can ,tuned properly is a must for me.I like a diaphragm /slate too,but too many gobblers hear plenty of yelping from diaphragm calls.Hunting public land with a snuff can be an advantage, but don't tell anyone !
Mouth call is my go to call every time. I forgot em in the freezer last year and didn't feel right without em.
Pot-n-peg here. 2nd is a mouth call. The more I use em, the easier it gets and the better I like it. I think a person needs to run several and see what suits him the best. They are all different. Then the box call.
Mouth Call. I think the only reason I carry the rest of em is because I'm supposed to, or maybe I like the extra weight.
Mouth call with a ghost cut, my favorite.
Pot call and a tube call!
:icon_thumright: slate and glass pot calls have been my favorites, but I've recently got a copper and ceramic pot that are going to see alot of action this spring!!!!
I make strikers so I would have to say pot calls.
Mouth call for me. I have just about all of them in my vest, but it's the mouth call that I prefer. When I started turkey hunting 23 years ago, my uncle gave me a Primos True Double and said, "here, go kill one". Since then I never leave home without a True Double in my vest. I've got other mouth calls, pot calls, and a box, but there's nothing like calling in a bird with pretty much the same call you used 15 years ago to call in that first bird.

:TooFunny:I picked up on that right away
I like and use the pot calls followed closely by the box.
I'll stick with a good pot call, prefer glass. Then a box call.
