Title: Can a blown pattern be even?
Post by: ChesterCopperpot on February 03, 2021, 08:30:45 AM
Wondering if a blown pattern as a result of over constricting (too much takedown) can appear evenly (very wide but even) or if there will always be large gaps and rings?

Never heard the term " blown pattern " applied to a situation as you described. Then again, I`m not a ballistics expert or patterning expert.

I'd imagine what you're describing would be more likely with higher pellet count. So somehow overchoking 6 or 7 shot with a .650 or something.
