I plan on finally switching over to a red dot for next year. Does any one here have any experience with this sight? Pros cons?
I have read here that some people with astigmatisms have a hard time with them. Make sure you check out the one you want in person first if you have an astigmatism.
The Romeo 5 is a very good site. The astigmatism problem is not specific to the Romeo 5. It applies to
all red dots and does
not affect everyone with the astigmatism.

This is correct, did not intend it to mean just this scope/brand, was meant to mean all.
With the Romeo 5, can you mount it low or will it sit high with the base that it comes with?
I think you can also mount low but not for sure. I will ask some people I know who shoot them. I have only played around with them on some ARs. I do know there are a couple of different ones. There is one that law enforcement uses that is motion activated. It stays on all the time and when the gun moves it turns on. I actually like that one when I thought I wouldn't .
edit: checked with some people who use Romeo 5 on different guns and they advised it can be mounted low on a rail or any way any other red dot is mounted. A couple even have them on semi auto handguns.
