Since I took a nice bird yesterday, my weekend was done. Went out roosting last eve, to see if I could put my wife on one. Got one to gobble 3 times at dark in the powerline.
We went in at perfect time, but actually walked past the bird. Hard to pin point em at a half mile away. :toothy9:
Sob gobbled back where the truck was! :z-dizzy:
To make a long story short, we played the back and forth game for an hour before I told Lily to get up, and let's get out to the Powerline. Soon as I called out there, he turned around and came right back.
Her little light 1 1/4oz of TSS 9s "Leah Load" took care of business!!
Her Biggest bird ever. 21 Lb, 11" beard, and inch spurs.
I think she finally got over missing that one two weeks ago! :TooFunny:
Good for Lily! I am glad that she was able to redeem her earlier miss. The day will come very soon when
she will call in and kill a bird all by herself.
