If done discreetly, I don't think it can hurt,...and I believe the pros outweigh the cons.  As I stated earlier, I think "prepping" a gobble for the next morning's hunt is a positive.  Doing it in an unnatural manner or, worse yet, accidentally disturbing the roost site by being seen or otherwise alerting the birds that are there, is a big "negatory".

Again, the real question to me in discussing these evening roosting tactics is the intent of the hunter.  Are you locating birds to hunt?....or are you "prepping" a specific gobbler or group of turkeys?  As stated, the tactics for each are different.
