Just messing around at the barn yesterday with the Hoot N Stick before going home. At the same time today, I heard an owl, and got out the Hoot N Stick, and practiced some more. Still having to remind myself to use low volume. Regardless someone had to investigate the new owl on the block.

Now that's pretty cool! I've called in a few even had one swoop down at me one night in the front yard. Never had a camera though handy. That's the proof in the pudding right there!

Yep, just sit there and stare at you with those BIG eyes.
There is no way I could win at a game of blink with one of them!!

:agreed:
I called one in with my mouth a couple years ago while my wife was with me on a evening roost session during spring gobbler. Had it in the tree about 35 yards and 20 feet off the ground...she was flippin out...
I'll be getting a Hoot N Stick before Spring gobbler season. Count on it.
Are these much different than a palmer hoot tube
Never ran a Palmer's myself... But this is the best sounding hooter I have ever heard/run. Hands down.
Is there a difference in the sound between the wood and plastic models?
Thanks.
Mike
I find the wood one to be a little easier to run and with a bit more true tone.
Hmmm might have to try one of these

I use palmer's and hook's hooter. I prefer hooks.
