Shot just this one shot through this Mad Max .680 choke I got off gunbroker for around $29.  I finally found me a choke that will shoot the 6's in the Hevi-13 loads.   :icon_thumright:

I'm glad I bought this choke.

Nice pattern.

I've had 3 different chokes get 155-159 with the 3-1.75-6 H13 shell, and 2 other chokes got in the 130's-140's.

The 2.0 & 2.25 ounce shells should beat these numbers with the right choke.

Does that 835 throw a bad pattern?

Well I was going to polish my barrel again later this year just to touch it up.  But I think I will just keep shooting if it's going to give me patterns like this time to time.

Go check out my Pure Gold pattern I shot.

I bought a .695 Mad Max choke for $20 last year. It doesn't like anything I run through it, 6's or 7's. At least the .680 will shoot.

I have the  mad max choke for the Mossberg 835, but I don't know the ed. Are there different sizes for the 835, and if so how do I tell. P.S I do not have a mic
Jakes are like scotch. They are not worth a darn until they age.

Actually they made the MAD Max choke in 2 sizes, .680 and .690.  The MAD Super Max was .695 for the 835.

You can tell by the model # at the top muzzle end of the choke.  I can get the numbers for you once I get home if you like and post them here.

Ok I found it for you.

These are for the Moss 835.

I had some guys ask me questions about this choke.  To the best of my knowledge, these chokes were made by the same guys that now own Indian Creek.  They were made around I'm guessing around 1996.

Here's the 2 models they offered for the 835.
