Title: Hens but no Gobblers
Post by: cajunhunter on March 01, 2013, 06:40:20 AM
I have these pics, just don't see any Gobblers.  I am new is there typically some sort of ratio hens to gobblers?  As far as I know we have only taken 1 Tom on my place is about 6 years.  Not saying that other have taken on surrounding properties.  I just thought I would see some.  They love this deer feeder.

That's typical this time of year, they are still grouped together (hens with hens and gobblers with gobblers).  They will start to spread out the closer it gets to their mating season and you should start seeing the gobblers.

I agree.  The other day I notice around 20 toms/jakes in a field and then two fields over there was 40+ hens.  So I am sure they are close by.
