Turkey hunting forum for turkey hunting tips

Some guy bought the property right next door to my place and is currently building a house. The concrete guys actually weren't bad, but the framers are in now, and man, are they loud!!!
They're running generators because there's no power to the site yet. They're banging hammers, shooting nail drivers, yelling and blaring Mexican mariachi music from 0730 until quitting time. :TrainWreck1:
Looks like unless I get lucky on a weekend, the only way I'm getting a gobbler will be on public land. What a lousy season this is turning out to be.

Dude that completely sucks, not only that is is happening but that you are the kind of guy that realizes it has to happen and are a good enough man not to hold something like that against them even though I am sure there is a part of you that wants to. I feel sorry for you. If it makes you feel any better my season is not looking much better, I was supposed to teach turkey hunting to has not contacted me and it is just 11 days away and I don't think the people that own the land I always hunt wants me there while I am on crutches and to be honest I can't blame them as they have no Ins. on the land. Hunting public is not an option for me as I can't leave stuff behind like my blind and I can't sit on the ground.

Just hunt. The birds will get used to it. It will annoy you more than them.

God saw fit to give it back to me after 15 years of not being able to hunt after my car accident,  if he now chooses to take it away that is his right, I am grateful for the one I got.

Believe it or not, the stud gobbler I've been chasing for 2 years showed up in my yard today while the Mariachi band was on lunch break. So there's still hope.

I've been researching land owners in my area for a beg & plead session. :lol: In the meantime, there's a little old lady who's lived around here forever that had an accident recently. My wife's been bringing her meals and checking up on her.
Long story short, my wife happened to mention my dilemma to Ms. Mabel. She used to own thousands of acres, but slowly sold most of it off. She said I could hunt the land she has left, and told me of a couple of other land owners she sold to that I should go see. They were already on my list, but now I can drop Ms. Mabel's name too. I've got my fingers crossed!!! 🤞🏼
