Title: IL. bird
Post by: fallhnt on April 30, 2013, 02:06:27 PM
Went out on some public land over the weekend in the north zone and had a good time. Sat. I called in 4 jakes but couldn't get a shot.I had set up under 2 hens too.I had birds gobbling all over so I was going to stay but the birds got bumped due to people in the woods out enjoying the nice weather I guess. So I moved but nothing else happened. Then sunday I went to a different spot and bumped a hen off the roost. Not a good start but I set up and called in a jake.He didn't finish off so my Monster Chill sent a Easton da torch his way at 27 yards and that was that.I have one more tag then a long wait till Sept. when I can start fall turkey season off in MO.
