Right on GOLD HUNTER thank you for clearing that up!! :toothy12:
I road out to Big Woods WMA this morning and didnt hear a gobble but it was also 27 degrees when i was trying my crow call, did a little riding around a saw to flocks but it looks like they are starting to break up. Keep the reports coming.
Make that 6 - 7 hours one way but worth it!
What part of VA are you guys hearing birds? I was out Saturday Morning, and this morning, but no luck. I did see two flocks yesterday around lunch time but the gobblers and hens were still together.

Where in VA are you from
I was out around Wakefield, VA and had about the same results but like I said the flocks are small so that is a good sign.
I've seen a few small flocks in northern va as well, won't be long now till their gettin after it.
I'm South West of richmond on the North Carolina line. The flocks I saw were still big and had 2-3 gobblers in each flock with 10-14 hens in each.
I'm right on the N.C. line in Henry Co.
Heard 3 in washington county Virgina. Got some pics and video of a strutter
I haven't been able to get out the last week.... anybody hearing much in VA?
Went yesterday morning and heard 4 or 5 and started looking around and when i came back to where i was standing first thing that morning it was all tore up from him strutting around and the he gobbled about 40 or 50 yards from me walking there other way so i just slipped out. Awesome to have one gobble that close on a scouting trip.
Not much really but seeing a lot that are still bunched up. Heard 4 friday morning but only gobbled a time or 2 on the roost. There was one in front of the house about 4 oclock yesterday that gobbled quite a few times. It will be wide open before long. Youth day should be really good
No gobbling this morning but went by one spot Sat. morning and saw 13 birds in the field, all hens. Looked over to the right and sure enough a nice longbeard in full strut, he got right in the middle of'em. So far things are looking good for youth day April 7th!
