Title: Tristar Viper G2 20 gauge
Post by: Ridge Rooster on April 29, 2020, 08:00:53 PM
Just bought my second Tristar Viper G2, first was a 410 that I harvested 2 nice long beards with this year, and the new one I just picked up is its twin but in a 20 gauge. I like the ergonomics and weight of the guns and I think they are one of the best purpose built turkey guns on the market, especially at the price point that they sell for. The only problem with them is the trigger pull are unacceptable, at least to me. I sent my 410 off the a place in Wisconsin, on recommendation from another member on here, and it came back a good bit lighter, not what i prefer but manageable. I am not sure why the turkey specific models don't come with better triggers. This is a common problem I have seen from most all manufacturers. I tried an MCARBO spring, it might have helped some, but trigger is still pulling around 6.75lbs. I am sending trigger off to Wisconsin again in the morning.

I have the same gun. I think the pistol grip makes the trigger feel stiffer
