Classic movie and match.

Either Young guns or the Kris Kristofferson Billy the Kid movie, forget which one
they ran some turkeys down on horseback and got some

Didn't he say shoot the back one so the middle and front birds don't see them fall, get more that way.

Yes, then later in the movie he used that tactic against the enemy and got a mess of prisoners.

Jeremiah Johnson had lots of hunting. The Deer Hunter had a brief scene of hunting. Dances with Wolves they hunted buffalo. Not a whole lot of hunting coming out of liberal Hollywood, unless it portrays hunters in a negative way.

Sent from deep in the woods where the critters roam.

Folks do that now when shooting running hogs.  Never shoot the first one.  As long as they can see a hog or 2 running ahead they'll keep coming on that same path regardless of their buddies getting picked off.

I was thinking this.  Hatfields and McCoys showed him running an ole box and getting one.
Best and funniest turkey hunting scene ever is from the Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter with Josh Brolin.  That movie is a hilarious (adult) hunting movie!!!

No Country for Old Men, Hunt for the Wilderpeople (definitely drags it down to comedy but that aspect seems to partially be a byproduct of handing a firearm to a child actor who handles it, safely, like a Call of Duty character), The Ghost and the Darkness, Lost in the Barrens, the Revenant, Out of Africa. Just off the top of my head. Nothing involving turkeys, though.

Not a movie... but saw a rerun this weekend of "According to Jim".  Jim and his brother-in-law go turkey hunting.  Pretty funny.  The episode is called "The Hunters".

It's not a movie, but the television series from Canada called "Schitt's Creek" had an episode the first season called "Turkey Shoot" where the characters go turkey hunting together. I didn't expect it to be particularly accurate and to that point I was not surprised.
