Scratchboxes are the first calls I made back when I was a teenager. Here are a couple that I made earlier this year . I have heard great things about Pappy's scratch box calls.  I don't use this type of call, but own one made by Al Shoemaker.  When he plays it, it sounds much better than when I play it.  That is a reflection on my playing skills, not his craftsmanship.  ;)

I recieved a cedar scratch box for Christmas and it sounds fantastic.  IIt was made by L&L calls out of North Carolina.  You can find them in the Midwest Tureky SUpply Catalog.
