I have heard great things about Pappy's scratch box calls. I don't use this type of call, but own one made by Al Shoemaker. When he plays it, it sounds much better than when I play it. That is a reflection on my playing skills, not his craftsmanship. ;)
I recieved a cedar scratch box for Christmas and it sounds fantastic. IIt was made by L&L calls out of North Carolina. You can find them in the Midwest Tureky SUpply Catalog.
