I recently purchased a 20 gauge NWTF edition Winchester 1300 from a co worker. I was originally just going to leave it alone and use it for dove and clay bird shooting. Obviously that thought didn't last long and now I am thinking of carrying it for turkeys. I have a 20 ga mossberg 500 already and have a .575 carlson choke in it shooting federal HW #7 and hevi #7 rather well. I am open to some suggestions for a choke for this winchester. I have HW #7, hevi #7 and hevi #6 available currently and might pick up some longbeard #6 to try as well. Please let me know what has worked well for you in these 20 gauge winchester 1300s.
Buy a 5 pack of Apex #9's and use the Carlson .575 you already have. I back up the TSS with the Hvwt #7's. This combo does very well out of my 1300 20 gauge.
The engraved NWTF 1300 20ga w/ wincam camo wood is one of the most desirable and hard to get turkey guns there is. I found one last year and cherish it.
As for the set up. For a "real world" hunting pattern - I like the factory FULL choke the best....it's perfect to me. For something a little tighter .. the carlson .575 extended non ported.
As for ammo .. same rules apply as most guns. Anything #9 TSS is the best. #7 HEVI shot would be runner up.. But I would use the Carlson if using Hevi Shot.
post some pics of the gun
Here is the 20 (black) and also my 12 (wincam)

Nice pair of killers
In case anyone is seriously looking to buy one, there are 2 up on Gunbroker right now. Search Winchester 1300 and you'll find them. Both at "Buy Now"...
Both 12 gauge
I got a laminate in a 12ga just like that.
Indian creek choke
