Title: Trumpet Calls
Post by: GunRunner on February 12, 2011, 08:32:08 PM
Many custom call makers feature trumpet calls, yet I have seen very little discussion on them in the forum. The trumpets I have seen on call makers web sites are beautiful works of craftsmanship but I wonder how many folks are using them. Are they practical field calls or are they more of a novelty or collectors item?

I carried one last year and plan to again this year. Trumpets have a sound the birds haven't heard.

Just another weapon in the vest.  They work. There proven.

There also  the toughest to learn and use.  But thats why were elitist when we figure it out :TooFunny:

I to have had birds walk and run away from calls.  Only to break out the trumpet and have them dead bird walking.
