Thing is a lot of light weight barrels are thin and then jugged on the end to accommodate the chokes.  If you cut them off there's not enough material to thread.

BPS camo version would be good too. Only problem is those pumps knock the piss out me. My 870 is lights out but I feel that recoil more now.
