Title: 28 gauge
Post by: pacecars on February 28, 2018, 05:21:16 PM
Just loaded up my first Turkey loads for the Franchi 48AL 28 gauge. I now have 20 shells loaded with    1 1/2oz of #9 1/2 TSS ready to go

Just got a Carlson extra full, headed out tomorrow to pattern it.

Shot it at 40 yards and the pattern is devastating! Even spread and no holes. Shoots a hair to the left but not too much to worry about. No need for another choke right now. I will say that you do know when you touch one off in this 5 1/4 lb shotgun

I just bought one yesterday. Hopefully it'll pattern as well as some of the others I've seen online. I was gonna order a trulock but maybe I'll try a Carlsons's first.

That Carlson's extended XF is hard to beat, puts up great numbers.
