Which is your favorite? Could you share some pics?
the outlaw hen... :gobble: :gobble:
Hot Hen slate / Outlaw Hen green glass - like them both.
Here's a link to a FB page for Lonnie's calls - https://www.facebook.com/groups/1694275364177621/photos/
I have owned all 3 of his popular pot calls. The glass, ceramic, and slate. His glass (Outlaw hen) is a personal favorite of mine.

Green glass Outlaw Hen is my go to pot call.
"Hot hen" pure turkey
I called and left him a message. I'm looking forward to getting one or two.
I don't but I this summer Lord willing
I'm going to put in an order for the Hot Hen and Outlaw Hen.

Mr. Sneed called me back last night and we had a great conversation about everything thing from hunting to church. I put in my order for a Hot Hen & a Outlaw Hen. He has a very long list and he couldn't predict when I'll get the calls but hopefully sometime this Summer. I'm sure looking forward to it.
Had but traded
Hot hen. I cherish that call.

Have Outlaw Hen Green Glass and Hot Hen Slate. That Outlaw Hen Green Glass is my #1 pot over anything else. All turkey.
Ordered the hot hen and outlaw hen last summer. Got a tree talker in a sweet deal. Almost sold it but thankfully I never really heard back from the guy because I don't really want to get rid of it. Both are great calls but I've not hunted them at all. Seems every time I wear the vest that they're in, I end up getting rained on so I leave them in the truck and use something more water worthy. Great calls though. And if you're calling Lonnie, I'd suggest blocking off some time to talk. He's a wealth of knowledge.
I have four of his calls, and the 3-1/4in outlaw hen is my favorite.
Outlaw Hen ( green glass) is my favorite.
Hot Hen,,this call with its uniqueness is the perfect example of a custom southern turkey call, in Wikipedia under "custom turkey calls" there should be a picture of this.
You have to get the cover he makes too ads to the charm.
Patiently waiting for mine :turkey2:
another vote for the green glass outlaw hen.. i have alot of pots most more expensive than the sneed but i wind up using it on almost every bird I call up.
I don't own one but after hearing the Hot Hen I got to have one!! What is the normal wait time?

I just ordered a Hot Hen and when I asked Mr. Sneed how long it would take, he laughed and said it might take six months - then he said it wouldn't be that long, but it would be a while.
Only one I have, a Sneed's Tree Talker. Great for close quiet calling. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170510/a30d2a2dbe2c5f1ce53262281fdc4398.jpg)

Hot Hen slate, and outlaw hen green glass. Both sound as good as calls that are way more expensive.
I have several of Lonnies calls. I also buy them for friends. The Raspy boss Hen has helped put many Toms in the truck. They are all good.
Can someone post up what all calls he makes, I don't do Facebook. Thank you
The outlaw hen is probably the more versatile all around call, but my hot hen slate has made my vest 2 times this year and it brought in beautiful gobblers for my clients both times, including this morning. Cant go wrong with either. Do yourself a favor and just buy both. They will be collectors items in a few years. And they are both spitting feathers!

I just got hot hen in a trade, best slate I have ran, guy said he didn't have the original striker but matched with a Marby striker that rocks it!
All great calls. Green glass is my favorite.
outlaw hen call
Love it!
I love my Outlaw Hen. Great guys, great service, great call.
:smiley-char092:
X2, fantastic call

OK then it's 5. Two hot hens, one outlaw hen and two tree talkers with no strikers. Hot hen is my favorite and Lonnie's strikers will run about everything.
I have 7 different ones Hot Hen is my favorite
I have 10 or more. Every one is great. I bought my first 5 back before there was much of a rush and his calls today are just as good.
My favorite is the Raspy Boss Hen. My last season hunting in Colorado before we moved I had a bird rooster one ridge over from where I was sitting. I called a couple of times right at first light just to let him know where I was, and it sounded like he nearly fell out of the tree gobbling back at me. With a little more coaxing from my 5.5" ironwood Buice trumpet I had my first public land merriams.
I have a Hot Hen that I picked up from a member here several years ago. It absolutely spits feathers.
Have several. We traded many years ago and since have bought all his calls. Often gift friends with them. His Raspy Boss hen slate it one of my favorites.
Im currently looking at multiple hot hens, outlaw hens, raspy boss hen a heart breaker and a tree talker with covers, some nice some plain jane.
Theyre all good calls.
Hot hen and outlaw hen. Know it alls opine!
Just purchased an outlaw hen, hot hen and tree talker from Lonnie. Can't wait for these to come in.

Outlaw Hen ( green glass) is my favorite.
X2, with the Alligator covered container. Fantastic call.....
I have the Outlaw Hen green glass call, really like the sound from it. Play around with strikers with it, I think it was diamond wood that sounded really good with it.
I've got quite a few. Hot Hen, Outlaw Hen, Lonesome Hen, Heartbreaker, Tree Talker, and even a box call. I'd sure like to find myself a Terminator though. I don't think he makes those anymore.
I have 3 Sneed Calls the Outlaw Hen is my favorite (green slate)
I just have one, the Outlaw Hen, but it's a good one. My father in law has the same call.

Ok now I'm up to seven. 2 Hot Hens, 2Outlaw Hens, 2 softalkers and 1 Heart Breaker. Ran my Heart Breaker with my snakewood striker and man does that thing sing. It will hunt this year for sure. Actually may do a Sneed day or two where I only carry his calls.
Hot Hen slate replaced the slate I carried for decades & killed piles of birds with. The tone on that Hot Hen grabs gobblers by the ears and brings them looking. t is a fine call that definitely earned a place in my vest.
Jim
I've got the hot hen slate, outlaw hen & tree talker. They all sound great, I cant wait to use them this year. I'd also like to get a heart breaker at some point.
How much does Mr. Lonnie ask for an Outlaw Hen call??
I just got this one the other day.... that brings me to a terminator, and outlaw hen, a hot hen, a raspy boss hen, a tree talker, and a lonesome hen. I just need a heartbreaker, I can't seem to find one and have been looking hard for a while.

My sentiments exactly. ALWAYS have a Sneed call in my vest.
I have a few of Mr Sneed's calls myself and the outlaw hen green glass is my favorite!!! Running it with a Lyman tulipwood striker that call is deadly.
Deadly
I have a outlaw hen and a hot hen
what wood did Mr. Sneed use on his strikers that came with the outlaw and hot hen?

Hickory and purpleheart is what i've seen him use a lot ...
Made a grand trade with Lonnie more than a dozen years ago.
Not even sure what I sent as a trade, but I remember building the box to ship my trades in.
I received a few calls that were fantastic.
Since then I have bought many calls from him- for friends. The man makes really, really good calls. My favorite was the Raspy boss hen slate. That call is priceless with a real leather, hand sewn, cover and lots of turkeys tracks on the call.
Have I believe each of the calls he makes or made are in my collection. I enjoy talking with him when we can.
Just picked this one up a couple days ago with a group of other calls...........
Was pleasantly surprised. According to Mr. Lonnie, he made this one in 1987 or 1988.

The above is a nice find .....
Nice pick up Yoder
Man the green one is pretty! How and what does it take to get none of those?
I got his Heartbreaker ceramic and the Outlaw hen back in 2022. Killed a fine late season mature tom this year with the Outlaw. The thing sounds deadly. The backend is awesome and can get loud if you crank on it. Some mighty realistic yelps and cuts. In my opinion, you can find other calls as good, but I am not sure about any better, especially the Outlaw Hen. Affordable too!! He aint trying to ring a dollar out of everyone like some of these others. I am sick of some of these ridiculous prices. I could buy a gun for what some people are selling calls for. Oh well......... glad I dont have to buy them lol. Fine gentleman, Mr. Sneed
