Does the hardness of the wood used to make tube calls have any affect on the sound produced? Or are there too many variables to determine if the wood hardness matters?
My experience in buying them , there a air call so it's mainly the inside of the call the restrictions for the flo of the air ,, inner damentions ..
The material does make a difference but a LOT less than other calls.... boxes, pots, scratchers whatever. Like outdoors said other things make a bigger difference on a tube.

Agree, woods and hardness does affect the tones. It's just like the different thickness of latex used on a tube, it produces different sounds ...
