Finally had an opportunity to pattern my gun with a new choke I picked up just before the season opened.
870 SM with a 23" (polished but dirty) barrel.
Jelly Head .660
Turkey Thug 3.5" #6
Lasered 40 yards
Mid-80's, muggy, no wind
I was at the range shooting a M1 Garand/HP match so I didn't have all the supplies so I made do with what I had on-hand. Shot 1x to determine POI, 1x for hold over, made the sight adjustments and 1x for count. I'm fairly confident the pattern is centered.
I had other shells, but ran out of time & targets to try them out.
Target is ~12" wide.
143 pellets.

Great lead pattern. Your good to go!
That is a nice pattern, looks good.
143/12" is equivalent to 99/10".
I'll have to count to be certain, but a quick guesstimate is ~20 pellets less reducing to 10".

Just saying: the area of a 10" circle is 69.5% that of a 12" circle, so 143 x .695 = 99.
I knew where you were coming from. It's all good.
good to go
