I just got these 2 in the mail today for TJ Johnson and they are fantastic!! The pot is zebrawood crystal over glass with a Rutland Dymondwood striker, this pot is right at the top of my list of best sounding pots that I own. Now to the fiddle box, it is the first ever ALL Walnut fiddle box ever made, not even Marlin has made a all Walnut fiddle box. I have a few from TJ and Marlin and this one is my favorite. You can close your eyes while running it and see that hen coming through the woods. TJ's boxes get better and better with each one he makes. My 2nd TJ Johnson fiddle box showed up in mail yesterday - bloodwood over butternut. Sounds great but that bloodwood lid is something to see. Pisses me off I can't get pic to upload

Very nice looking pieces. I like walnut quite a bit, did not know it was considered rare in fiddleboxes, honestly thought it would be more common. That zebrawood looks quite nice as well.
Congrats on the new calls! Walnut over walnut is an excellent box combo, bet it sounds terrific.

TJ is building some strong calls and Derek Tereza can play that call, he is a great box caller.

absolutely Derek can run a box!!! Derek ordered that all Walnut fiddle because he ran mine at Turkey Trot and after a few attempts at trying to buy mine he ordered one from TJ!
I really like that all walnut fiddlebox. I would love to hear it.
