Got my first Buice trumpet in the mail this morning!
A Macassar Ebony with a lot of character.
Billy said he found this horn in a drawer unfinished from 2009 and decided to go ahead and complete it. Once I heard it, I couldn't resist. She is all turkey.
Mr. Buice is a true gentleman and it sure was a treat to "talk turkey" with him.

That is beautiful, not sure if it relates to trumpets like it does guitars, but over the years I have built many acoustic guitars and to my ears Macassar Ebony is the most resonant/musical of the ebonies......stunning to look at too, congrats.

I got my first buice trumpet yesterday,a desert iron wood with a copper ferrul and #3,4,and 5 mouthpieces.its pretty sweet.makes my second trumpet that I own,i already see this is going to be habit forming! :funnyturkey:

Yeah, hunting turkey is already worse than a drug addiction, then you throw these trumpets into the mix and it's like pouring gasoline on a fire.
