Title: Central IL 2019
Post by: dixiemagnum80 on March 09, 2019, 07:29:06 AM
Youth season is a couple weeks away. I was up early today so I figured I'd go have a listen. Sure enough, with every sound the crows made the gobblers responded. They must've gobble 50 times in 3 or 4 minutes. Should be a good season for my boy again this year.

We were out prepping for youth opener in Central Illinois. Had some flocked birds gobbling consistently. 4 to 5 lone gobblers sounding off but pretty much shut up at fly down. Busted a gobbler walking around.  Still early so I am still scouting. But it got my blood pumping!

Yesterday evening had a bird hammering for an hour of so, mostly at crows but once in a while on his own.
